Web Layout and Visual Design

In this phase, 12am will create and refine the visual design based on the creative brief and information architecture. The Website design team will be engaged throughout the visual design process to provide input, feedback and approval as the design concepts are created and refined.

We will begin on the Website design project first, which will be a teaser website in Flash and/or HTML. We will execute our internal design process, which includes the translation of all information gathered in the Discovery phase into mood-boards and several rounds of interactive design work, leading to the development of the final design concepts. At the end of this process, we will present two design directions for the Interactive agency website, demonstrated by two homepage compositions and any storyboards, if applicable. The Website design team will then select one direction and provide feedback on the design before we make any further refinements.

During further refinements, 12am will incorporate feedback on the design concept. The refined direction will be presented to the Website design team for a final round of feedback before the design is extended to the lower level pages.

After the launch of the Interactive agency website in January, we will repeat this design process for the Website design site.

The final result will be an integrated visual direction that delivers immediate impact, addresses all of the strategic goals, and embodies the Website design brand.

Website Development Process

During the Discovery phase, all elements of the web team will come together to create a comprehensive strategy for the future sites.

The phase will begin with a kick-off meeting with the San Francisco Web Design project team. 12am will work with the Website design team to review all key issues of the project, including the strategic objectives, target audience, brand attributes, competitive landscape, business requirements, existing & proposed content, and any technical considerations. We will discuss both the existing site and the new website design in this phase.

At this time, 12am will confirm expectations by reviewing and refining the project scope. We will then start development of a Discovery Document, which will contain an updated site architecture, creative brief, and technical brief.

The creative brief, which will drive all visual concepts, will be based on the desired brand attributes, the desired user experience, and the target audience. Concurrently, the Portland Web Design will identify the technical requirements of the project and determine an appropriate framework for all application and database development.

This phase will be completed with the delivery and approval of the Discovery Document. This document will lay the critical groundwork upon which the design, production, and deployment phases will be based and will provide a clear roadmap and schedule for everyone working on the websites.

The San Diego website design team will have the opportunity to review and recommend revisions to all documentation before it is finalized and the next phase begins.

Website Design, Custom CMS and SEO

In the Production phase, 12am will build the technical structures for the Interactive agency and web design is based on the designs selected and refined in the previous phase. These will consist of a number of Flash files, and/or HTML templates and CSS styles for displaying content.

The Portland Website design team, we will develop a Content Management System (CMS). Its development will run concurrently with the end of the Design phase. A CMS is a set of online tools that allow site administrators to control the content of their websites. Each web page will have its own corresponding secure administration page that allows the Website design staff to make instant updates to the website.

The administrative area is used for managing all of the site content such as the images, news, general information, and more. Almost all text and images throughout the site can be updated without knowing any HTML. The admin pages have a tool bar for common text-formatting features such as bold, italic, and align left, that make formatting pages as easy as using Microsoft Word. Images are as easy to update as an online photo site and are automatically resized to fit your site and optimized for faster downloading.

12am will create a suitable design and implement key word input functionality in the administration tool that will ensure that the Website design website is optimized for inclusion in search engine rankings.
